June brings Brussels' longest days and warm but rarely hot summer weather — a pleasant, festival-filled month. It averages 21°C/12°C with 70mm of rain, mostly in showers and the odd summer thunderstorm. Daylight is at its peak (sunset close to 10pm), giving long evenings for terraces, parks, and walking. The Ommegang, a grand historic costumed pageant re-enacting a 16th-century procession, takes place on the Grand-Place around late June into early July (ticketed for the main shows). Music festivals like Couleur Café add to the season. The weather is at its best for the year, though 'best' in Brussels still means changeable — sunshine and showers can trade off within a day, so carry a light rain layer even when it's warm. It's high season, so attractions and day-trip towns (Bruges especially) are busier and prices are firm — book ahead. Note: heat waves are uncommon but possible; otherwise expect comfortable temperatures rather than Mediterranean heat.

It's the busiest month, so the Grand-Place and Bruges are crowded and prices are at their summer peak — book accommodation and the Atomium ahead.
